Dreadnought Tiles have been manufactured on the same site, for more than 200 years with the same passion to create the finest plain clay roof tile.
The distinctive beauty of Dreadnought Roof Tiles is a product of their unique manufacturing process. They are naturally coloured through careful control of the kiln atmosphere, without the use of any artificial stains or pigments. Clay roofs with Dreadnought Tiles are assured of timeless beauty and enhanced value, since their colour will endure for the lifetime of the tile as it exists throughout the body, rather than as an applied surface layer. This, and the widest range of natural colours, ranging from Staffordshire Blue to Plum Red, is what makes Dreadnought Tiles special. Dreadnought tiles have been honoured in each of the previous three CRTC awards, visit this link for further details on the winning entries www.dreadnought-tiles.co.uk/awards.htm

Keymer Tiles has been creating hand made clay tiles for more than 400 years, making it one of the oldest and most respected specialists in its field.
Every hand made tile calls on skills that have been passed down through generations of dedicated Keymer craftsmen. This traditional method of manufacture allows for subtle variations in colour, texture and shapes that cannot be replicated using machine manufacturing.
Based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, Keymer extracts Wealden clay from its own clay pit, thus maintaining quality of the highest standard.
Keymer Tiles have been used on a wide range of buildings across the UK, including barn conversions, National Trust projects and Royal households, such as Windsor Castle.
Keymer regularly exports its products throughout mainland Europe and even far flung corners of the world, including Russia and Japan.
Recently, Keymer has been involved with three major projects in America, where it first won an award in 1876 - showing just how far the company's name and dedication to traditional values has spread.
